Hello. And welcome to our very first blogpost from The Trip Collection!
We’re David & Anne-Marie, a couple of self-confessed travel junkies based in South West London.
We love discovering beautiful places, in terms of destinations and also hotels, restaurants, bars, museums, galleries and the like. We both have an eye for style and design, with David working as a brand consultant for luxury brands like Cartier and LVMH and Anne-Marie having been an interior designer.
What is The TRIP COLLECTION?
The TRIP {COLLECTION} is our collection of curated trips, past, present and future. By capturing and sharing our favourite journeys, we hope to inspire you with your own travel planning.
There are three main ways we aim to inspire you:
- Website for full itineraries: the website has lots of detail and colour on hotels to stay in, restaurants to dine in and the top sights to see. We share “Journeys“, which are longer, multi-city trips and “Places“, which are short breaks such as long weekend trips. We also have sections on some of our favourite Hotels and Villas
- Instagram for visual snapshots: our Instagram page has short, visual posts with give a flavour of a particular trip. It’s also where we’ll share new trips and other forms of inspiration, such as “Wish-List” destinations
- Blog for bursts of inspiration: in this blog we will share bite-sized bursts of travel inspiration, going into a bit more detail than on Instagram and providing useful links
What makes the TRIP COLLECTION different?
There are hundreds of travel websites, Instagram pages and blogs already published. So, why should you bother with this one? Well, we’ve tried to bring a few new things to the travel party:
- Each trip is a curated collection of beautiful places, with detailed itineraries, maps and specific recommendations. These are based on lots of research using sources like Condé Naste Traveller, Vogue and Mr & Mrs Smith
- Every place we write about (whether a city, hotel or restaurant) is a personal recommendation based on our own travels
- Our collection is designed for discerning global travelers who enjoy the good things in life, so our focus is on the higher, luxury end of hotels. However, of course the itineraries can be adapted to any budget
We do hope that capturing and sharing our favourite journeys inspires you to make some memorable travel moments of your own!
