Do you like the idea of owing a holiday home but worry about the hassle? We had a lovely Provençal farmhouse for 10 years but eventually sold it, for just this reason. However, we did miss the feeling of having our own place and being able to invite friends and family. A couple of years ago we came across The Hideaways Club, through some Swedish friends. Peter is a financial whiz. And Anna has impeccable taste in interior design. So, this was enough for us in term of due diligence and we went ahead and invested!
By buying a share we became a co-owner of over 40+ holiday homes around the world, including villas, chalets and apartments.
You get c. 4-8 weeks of usage per year (depending on when you go) with zero hassle. In fact, you get a concierge service to help plan the trip and provide hotel-like services during your stay!
In this post, we share photos from trips we’ve done to villas in Croatia, Ibiza, Majorca and St Rémy de Provence. You can see all the villas with details of the design, location and things to do here.
Villa Livka, Croatia
Villa Livka offers the most unforgettable arrival of any Hideaway villa: on a private boat that docks directly in front of the property, making you feel like you’re in a James Bond movie! The sleek, modern architecture, with its crisp white facade and minimalist lines, is reminiscent of Miami Beach, bringing a touch of cosmopolitan style to the tranquil Croatian coast.
Highlights
- Right on the water’s edge, with a simple local beach seconds away
- Contemporary, cool architecture with a Miami beach vibe!
- Walking distance to Sutivan, a picturesque harbour town
- Amazing arrival on private boat to the jetty in front of the villa
- Rustic, rural restaurants a short drive away

Villa La Solana, Ibiza
Villa La Solana is another Hideaway villa with a “wow” factor from the moment you and your guests arrive. Perched high on the cliffs of Es Cubells in the south west part of Ibiza, the villa has stunning views that sweep down to the Mediterranean. It’s an especially appealing destination for trips with older kids: our three girls loved it and have requested a return trip with their boyfriends!
Highlights
- Stunning views down to the ocean
- Contemporary, cool architecture and interior design
- Close to beaches, both simple and down to earth plus upscale beach clubs
- Two outdoor eating areas with views, one next to the pool and one higher up in the garden
- Ideal for trips with older kids in their late teens or early twenties!

Gran Vista, Majorca
Gran Vista boasts the most impressive gardens of all the Hideaways houses we’ve stayed in, with vibrant bougainvillea, palm trees and lush Mediterranean plants. Lying by the expansive, heated pool and looking back at the villa, you feel as if you’re staying in your own private boutique hotel!
You can read more on our stay in Majorca here, including our curated selection of restaurants, cafés and local activities.
Highlights
- Beautiful gardens which almost feel like the setting of a boutique hotel
- Four bedrooms with a separate one bed studio
- Close to beaches, a lively marina for nightlife and Santanyí for the market and restaurants
- Secluded, quiet and private
- Terrace covered in bougainvillea for outdoor dining

Villa Marianne, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence
Surrounded by lush gardens, Villa Marianne is a rustic and charming Provençal mas that offers a tranquil retreat. Just a short drive from the picturesque town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Villa Marianne provides the perfect base for exploring local markets and the beauty of the Alpilles region.
Highlights
- Beautiful, traditional Provençal mas (farmhouse villa)
- Extensive pool area for warmer months
- Four bedrooms with a separate one bed studio
- Secluded and quiet
- Easy drive to the picture perfect village of Egalyiere and the lovely town of St. Rémy de Provence

Hopefully, this post has given you a flavour for The Hideaways Club. We are big fans and love the flexibility it offers us to go to homes in different places, all with a guaranteed level of quality. We are simply sharing the joy we’ve had so far, with no remuneration of any sort for this blog!
